Quentin Tarantino Movies Ranked

1. Pulp Fiction

A+ (100)

Pulp Fiction and Trainspotting were the two best films of the 1990s.

2. Reservoir Dogs

A (95)

I was drunk in college the first time I saw this and didn’t like it. I watched it sober about ten years later and loved it.

3. The Hateful Eight

A- (92)

Great movie that is somewhat underrated. It’s gorgeous with its high-resolution wide screen (70mm) format too.

4. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood

A- (92)

Much better than I thought it would be. Pitt and DiCaprio are awesome.

5. Jackie Brown

B+ (88)

I think people were expecting another Pulp Fiction. Everyone’s performances were great, and the story was good.

6. Inglorious Basterds

B+ (88)

Much better than my friends said it was. I loved Mélanie Laurent in this movie.

7. Django Unchained

B (85)

I thought Django was going to be a masterpiece after watching the first act, then it started taking itself more seriously than it should have. Still good though.

8. Kill Bill (Volumes 1 & 2)

B (85)

Editing needed to take place to make Kill Bill a single movie. Still entertaining.

9. Grindhouse: Death Proof

B- (80)

Kurt Russel is great as usual, but the story is meh.

The only two things I can note looking at the list is that there is not a C movie on it, and the breaking point for rewatchability occurs between Inglorious Basterds and Django Unchained. Inglorious and up I would watch again, Django and down I would not. With an average score of 89.4, Tarantino is one of my favorite directors today.
